We are pleased to inform you that educational activities at the Small Hydroelectric Station of Agyia are starting for the 2024–2025 school year. Plan your visit to the M.YIS. from October 14, 2024, to June 6, 2025, and discover the first hydroelectric station in Crete up close.
• The programs we offer for Primary Education are as follows:
For kindergarten students:
a) A Walk Through the Station!
Duration: 25 minutes, Participants: up to 15 students
b) Hey, ho! Guide the Water!
Duration: 25 minutes, Participants: up to 15 students
For Kindergarten – 1st Grade: BeeBot Activity
(For kindergartens, the activity can be combined with the above programs)
For 3rd – 4th Grade: Detectives in Action!
Duration: 45 minutes, Participants: up to 15 students
For 5th and 6th Grade: The Small Hydroelectric Station Introduces Us to Energy and Its Sources!
Duration: 60 minutes, Participants: up to 25 students
• The programs we offer for Secondary Education are as follows:
For 7th – 9th Grade (Gymnasium): Station Explorers!
Duration: 1.5 hours, Participants: up to 25 students
For Gymnasium and Lyceum students: Educational Tours
Duration: 40 minutes, Participation: by arrangement
Additionally, in the M.YIS. Activity Room, the following are held:
A. Energy Conversion Experiments by the Chania Science Laboratory Center!
For 5th Grade – 9th Grade students
Duration: 25 minutes per group, Participants: up to 10 students per group
B. S.T.E.A.M. Educational Programs with instructor Nikos Afentakis
For 5th Grade – 9th Grade students
Duration: 90 minutes per group, Participants: up to 15 students per group
