The Regional Development Company of Crete S.A., in collaboration with the Chania Directorate of Primary Education, invites you to a training–information seminar on Monday, February 3 at 17:00 at the premises of the Small Hydroelectric Station (M.YIS.) in Agyia, Chania. The event will present four new educational programs implemented under Subproject 1 of the project titled “Design and Development of Educational and Cultural Activities and Digital Promotion of the MYIS Agyia Associations,” project code 2024ΝΠ50200001 and Action Code / MIS (OPS): 5222955 of the Regional Operational Programme of Crete, with invitation code P78-211, OPS/NSRF ID 7024.
The environmental educational programs titled:
- “Exploring the Avifauna of the Lake”
- “Little Meteorologists”
- “The Water Cycle”
- “My Energy Back, Please!”
are based on the skills workshops of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) of the Ministry of Education and will be available to teachers and students of primary education from February 1 to June 10, 2025.
The activities will take place in the surrounding area of the M.YIS. and the broader wetland region of Lake Agyia. Our goal is to enrich children’s learning experience with topics related to the environment, biodiversity, meteorology, energy, and the water cycle—thus encouraging exploration, creativity, critical thinking, and consequently, their environmental and social awareness.
