On Tuesday, February 17, at the 14th Primary School of Chania, SHPP Agia successfully carried out an educational activity for 6th-grade students titled: “Traveling with SHPP Agia! Our fellow passengers: Energy, Movement, Biodiversity!”
The activity was designed by the Regional Development Company of Crete as part of SHPP’s participation in the “Move It Now!” initiative. It was implemented in collaboration with educator Marilena Georganta and museologist Myrto Kontomitaki.
Through an engaging and interactive program, students took part in a treasure hunt, movement-based games, and maze activities. These experiences sparked their curiosity and deepened their interest in exploring the natural world and the phenomena that surround them.
Students had the opportunity to observe and experience energy in both their environment and themselves. They explored key concepts such as Energy, Electrical Energy, and Biodiversity, while examining the relationship between Humans, Nature, and Technology. By connecting principles of Natural Sciences with everyday life, the activity fostered meaningful learning.
Particular emphasis was placed on the three fundamental elements: Water – Movement – Light. Students discovered how these elements interact with everyday phenomena and objects, both in nature and in their homes.
The activity was carried out with great enthusiasm and energy, leaving students inspired and eager to continue exploring the world around them!
