Summer Educational Program for Children aged 6 to 12
For the second year, the Regional Development Company of Crete S.A. is leveraging the unique history and natural environment surrounding the S.H.P.P. Agia to organize a morning summer educational activities program for children aged 6 to 12 years.
Duration and Schedule
The educational program will run for 7 weeks, from June 16, 2025 to August 1, 2025, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Thematic Periods
- Period A: June 16 – June 27, 2025
- Period B: June 30 – July 18, 2025
- Period C: July 21 – August 1, 2025
The durations of the periods are flexible.
Transportation
Children’s arrival and departure can be:
- Directly at the S.H.P.P. Agia (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- From the courtyard of the Chania Regional Unit by bus with a chaperone (departure 8:00 AM – return 3:00 PM)
Participation Cost
- 100 € / week
- Additional bus cost: 4 € / day / child (may be reduced)
- 20% discount for participation in a second period or for siblings
Activity Description
Children will participate in a variety of activities including:
- Artistic impressions using natural materials
- Movement games and performing arts
- Model building, painting, and collage creation
- Development of personal expression and self-observation
- LEGO and STEM workshops to familiarize with technology and robotics
- Interactive mystery and teamwork games
- Outdoor sports, film workshops, and other experiential activities
